Every year, the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra relies on the generous support of individuals since ticket sales cover only 1/3 of our general operating costs. Every donor gives for their own unique reason, but all of our generous donors share a love for great music and a desire to build strong community.
Supporting the Work of the IPO

A gift of $7 enables one musically underserved student to attend - at no charge - one of the IPO’s celebrated Youth Education concerts
A gift of $28 enables four musically underserved students to attend - at no charge - one of the IPO’s celebrated Youth Education concerts
A gift of $100 allows the orchestra to provide two complimentary tickets to a community organization to support their fundraising efforts
A gift of $500 covers the cost of one professional concert recording for the IPO’s permanent library collection
A gift of $750 covers the cost of education materials distributed to several thousand students at an education concert
A gift of $1,000 allows the orchestra to rent a major symphonic work for an upcoming performance
A gift of $1,250 allows the orchestra to send a group of musicians into a public school to perform for and interact with young children interested in music
A gift of $2,500 keeps the audience informed by covering the cost of producing and publishing our entertaining program book for one concert cycle
A gift of $5,000 covers the cost of bringing an up-and-coming guest soloist of international acclaim to Chicago to perform with the IPO
